Community Garage Sale
Whew! Have you ever tried to put on a garage sale? It is hard work. First you need to clean your garage, which in it self is quite a task. Then its the accumulating of the goods. Not to hard sometimes, not to easy others. It all depends if you are trying to sell things that you don't want any more or if you are just trying to get rid of your junk. Then comes the gathering of the tables. Then the hard part and you wouldn't think its the hard part but it is. The placing of the goods. How do you make "junk" look like someone else really needs it! Three of us are trying to sell our "junk" tomorrow at the Sherman Community garage sale. Its gonna be fun we are praying for no rain, but it doesn't look so good. I have been working hard to get the garage in shape and hopefully tomorrow things will sell, sell, sell! I am going to hold to the old saying, "one mans junk is another mans treasure."

how did it go? Did you get rained out did others come and buy lots of your treasured junk!?
Cindy,
UGH. I've only done one garage sale and I don't think I'll bother again. All that work and I ended up with like $20. Donating to the thrift store is my preferred method of getting rid of stuff.
we had a great yard sale ($450) just before we moved. the key? don't price - only bother with the big items. people bargain anyways. and at the point when you feel like you've made enough, sell everything for $1 and it'll save you a trip (and the hassle) to the dump. it's hard to part with stuff for less than you want sell it for, but you have to just let it go. think of a $$ in your head that you want to make that day, and stick to it.... anyways, that's my advice. good luck! ~Karen
haha - just saw the date of your post.... how did it go?
